Calculating the Dimensions of a Hot Air Balloon

The formulas necessary to calculate the balloon’s dimensions were taken from the reference books Brockhaus Physics Lexicon and the handbook Syllabus for Gas Engineers.

I have now put these formulas in an MS-Excel spreadsheet which enable a balloon to be correctly calculated.  The formulas are specifically tailored for a balloon with the shape indicated in brown in the bottom right-hand corner of the picture.  This is in fact the shape that all of our balloons had.
